Course Objective

To emphasize and highlight the importance of logistics which is one of the modern
business applications at the commercial lives of businesses

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand the importance of collecting and usage of data related with logistics
2   To be able to apply the cost and functional structures of logistics data at logistics process that is formed according to the wants of customers
3   To be able to use the findings obtained through the analysis of demand and opportunities for the company at activating customer services
4   To be able to synthesize the effectiveness of customer services as can provide integration required by the company and customer relations
5   To be able to evaluate the feedbacks related with logistics apllications with methods and projections that can take the customer relations to high levels.

2 The importance of logistics system at modern management practices, Factors which may be taken into account in the design and operation of logistics system
3 Structural characteristics of logistics systems and utilization of these structural features at the usage of logistics costs, the reasons and benefits of reorganization logistics processes and re-engineering
4 Supply chain structure and structural characteristics of the supply chain, the relationship between supply chain and logistics, the effect of structural characteristics of the supply chain to competitive structure of the system, and points of origination of potential problems.
5 The concept of strategic logistics and the evaluation of synergistic approach to functional integration and total cost minimization at logistics
6 The effects of supply chain management and logistics applications on customer service design and customer service performance determination. Factors affecting the identification of level of customer service and logistics design. Meaning of value added logistics
7 The importance of the balance between cost structure and functional structure at the integration of supply chain and logistics and logistics activities between firms.
8 the evaluation of logistic activities related with different supply sources in terms of different supply operations. The relationship between logistics operations and customer service. The reasons for increasing the performance of customer service. Customer service management, protection and improvement
