Course Objective

The objective of this course is to explain the concept of scientific ethics; to analyze the relationship between ethics and science and technology; and to explain the role of ethics on scientific research.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand and analyze ethical aspect of science and technology.
2   To be able to differentiate related and unrelated factors on topics related to scientific ethics.
3   To be able to suggest and defend ethical solutions to complex situations.
4   To be able to develop independent and critical thinking on topics related to ethical theories and applications.
6   To be able to grasp ethical theories, scientific research ethics and professional ethics.
7   To be able to identify, evaluate the effects of and recommend methods to prevent unethical behaviour.
