Course Objective

The objective of this course is to understand the basic concepts of congress and meeting management; to classify different meeting types; analyze current developments in meeting sector in national and national levels. Students are expected to acquire competencies and skills regarding design, planning, management, application and evaluation of events by utilizing theoretical knowledge.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to identify the basic concepts of congress tourism and meeting management and classify different meeting types based on their characteristics.
2   To be able to monitor, examine and evaluate current developments in congress tourism in national and national levels.
3   To be able to identify and carry out necessary activities before, during and after event.
4   To be able to show an attitude suited to team-work, communication and leadership skills to carry out an effective event.
