Course Objective

The objective of this course is to learn the main concepts, types, models and processes of innovation and knowledge management; to understand innovation as a manageable process and compose institutional innovation management structure in tourism industry; to select appropriate approach for a given innovation and knowledge management challenge in a tourism case and to find solutions to knowledge management problems in tourism cases and to know how to improve the process of the knowledge and innovation within tourism industry.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learning the key concepts of innovation and knowledge management. 2   Understanding innovation as a manageable process. 3   Knowing to select appropriate approach for a given innovation and knowledge management challenge. 4   Understanding how to find solution to knowledge management problems in organizations. 5   Knowing the how to improve the processes of the innovation within the organizations.
