Course Objective

The objective of this course is to examine organizational structure, functions and activities of different departments, change management, crises management, and the planning processes from set up to operation period for hotel businesses.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to analyze current problems, recent trends, macro and micro environments of businesses operating in lodging industry.
2   To be able to understand current management techniques and recommend strategies for management problems encountered for different hotel businesses.
3   To be able to collect data and analyze the planning processes from set up to operation period for hotel businesses.
4   To be able to acquire competencies to design, report and present an academic research on hotel business management.
5   To be able to discuss and examine current trends, hotel businesses management, organization, marketing and information technologies in international hotel management.
