Course Objective

This course aims to ensure that the students are able to analyze the connections between governance and social politics in terms of the relations among different levels such as local, regional and national levels, the role of state and its relation with civil society, repositioning of different interest groups and reforms, direction, and application of the policies

1   Describe the concepts of globalization and governance
2   Correlate governance with economic, social and political context
3   Search out the effects of governance on the roles of state and civil society
4   Analyse the effects of governance on the welfare systems
5   Determine the effects of governance on the distribution methods of wealth
6   Evaluate the implications of governance for social politics
