Course Objective

To teach and explain the basic concept and the rules of law of Antiquities, the relationship between branches of private law and public law and other branches of science

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To define the basic concepts of Law of Antiquities
2   To explain the relationship between Law of Antiquities and other sciences except for law
3   To compare rules of public law and private law concerning to Law of Antiquities
4   To examine international law and institutions contrubition of Law of Antiquities
5   To apply the rules of Antiquities Law to judicial and administrative judicial proceedings

5 The effect of the Turkish Law regulations on the protection of ancient monuments in the international conventions, declarations and other documents created by United Nations and the specialized agencies UNESCO
6 The effect of the Turkish Law regulations on the protection of ancient monuments monuments in the international conventions, declarations and other documents created by the Council of Europe
7 Ministries and government agencies charged with protecting the cultural and natural heritage

9 Structure and functions of the High Council of Cultural and Natural Heritage Protection
10 Concepts and types of antiquities and sites
11 The constitutional duty of the State to protect the ancient monuments
12 The protection of ancient monuments ways in administrative judiciary
13 Examination of the decisions of the Council of State related with Law on Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage
14 Examination of the decisions of the Supreme Court about the ways of Judicial protection of ancient monuments in the judiciary
