Course Objective

Course objective is to education lawyers who can assess the legal status of foreigners that started to increase in recent years in our country and solve these problems that arise in this sense.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To explain and know the rules that arrange the legal status of foreigners and concepts and principle in this regard.
2   To explain and know hierarchical place and application of international arrangements in Turkish law.
3   To understand and apply the logic of the solution of legal issues related to legal status of foreigners.
4   To assess and classify the rights and freedoms of foreigners in various aspects.
5   To explain and know the scope of rights and freedoms of foreigners.

Course Contents

1 The presentation and explanation of the course, determination of homework issues.
2 The basic rules, principles and concepts regarding the legal status of foreigners.
3 The basic arrangements on the legal status of foreigners.
4 Hierarchical place and application of international arrangements in Turkish law.
5 The rights and freedoms of foreigners ( to enter the country ,to reside, to travel).
6 The rights and freedoms of foreigners (to work).
7 Midterm exam
8 The rights and freedoms of foreigners (to invest).
9 The rights and freedoms of foreigners (to be organized).
10 The rights and freedoms of foreigners (belongings, inheritance).
11 The rights and freedoms of foreigners (others).
12 Examination of the rule of the court.
13 Examination of the rule of the court.
14 General assessment.
