Course Objective

This course aims to introduce students to cultural studies which is a rather interdisciplinary and eclectic field of study which borrows from lends to many different disciplines n the fields of social sciences and humanities. Within this perspective students will be studying, discussing and applying the theories and methodologies of cultural studies to their analysis of translation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. To be able to study and apply interdisciplinary methodologies into their work in translation studies.
2   2. To develop specialized theoretical and historical knowledge about various disciplines.
3   3. To question analytically the relations between languages, texts, cultures in other discipline.
4   4. To make research in translation studies by using scientific research methods.
5   5. To be able to apply the acquired the studied theory into their analysis.
