Course Objective

To get students to make subject for research the meaning, aim, importance, and value of Art and its concepts, methods, and its evaluation within the history on the bases of especially the Art traditions and currents of Islam and the West; doing so, to help students to gain an academic and affective training and perspective in the area.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will gain a training on the meaning and importance of Art and its other dimensions
2   will make different sciences and disciplines dealing with Art an object for study
3   will realize the history of Art as particular periods by taking Western and Islamic periods to the centre
4   will apprehend the concepts of Art, its nature and steps.
5   will gain an understanding on method, stylization, and abstraction in Art, and also an ability of analyzing and criticizing on an object of Art.
