Course Objective

The objective of this course is to explain the development, purposes and problems of social studies education, to examine the factors affect education, to discuss the problems and to associate the course books used in Turkey and other country s education systems comparatively.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   It is expected from those students who participate in reading activities and discussions, and who do their homework regularly to be able to define the comparative social studies education s development, purposes and problems; be able to explain the factors affect education, to discuss the problems and to associate the course books used in Turkey and several other country s education systems comparatively and analyze similarities and differences respectively.
