The teaching of Turkey's demographic characteristics and changes

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course Typical Students will recognize the demographic features of Turkey
2   At the end of this course Typical Students will tell the changes of demographical features in historical process
3   At the end of this course Typical Students will tell the changes on demographic structure of urbanization
4   At the end of this course Typical Students will Interpret the effects of these changes on the socio economic features of Turkey

2 Turkey's population growth, births, deaths and migrations
3 Population policies in Turkey
4 Gender characteristics of the population, age, condition and age groups,
5 Family and family size in Turkey
6 Active population in Turkey, the working population, working population
7 The sectoral distribution of the working population in Turkey
8 MIDTERM EXAM
9 The EU's overall population growth, births, deaths and migrations
10 Comparison of population policies in the EU and Turkey
11 EU population, gender, age, status, and age groups,
12 Dependency ratio in the EU, the active population and the working-working population
13 Sectoral distribution of population in comparison with the EU and Turkey
14 A demographic perspective, the similarities and contrasts in the EU and Turkey
