Course Objective

Object of the course of Custody Law is to study the right of custody established between the child and the parents for the protection of the child within the framework of the children's rights as contained in international documents and of the provisions as contained in our legislation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to explain the custody right concept and scope thereof as well as its regulation in national and international documents.
2   Ability to associate the provisions related to custody in the international conventions related to children's rights such as United Nations Children's Rights Convention and European Convention on the Exercise of Children's Rights, to which our country is also a party, with the provisions related to children s rights and custody in our legislation.
3   Ability to explain the provisions related to custody in the Turkish Civil Code.
4   Ability to apply the rules related to custody to a tangible event in a correct manner.
5   Ability to criticize the legal regulations related to custody in our legislation.6
6   Ability to generate remedial solutions for the problems related to the Custody Law.

9 Child's Properties and protection of Child's Properties: Parent's rights on child's properties
10 Child's properties on which the parents have partial or no rights of management and utilization
11 Regulations related to the Protection of Child's Properties
12 Conditions of the Abolition of Custody
