Course Objective

This course aimed at teaching administrative structures within the scope of EU s Integrated Coastal and Marine Area management and integrated politics and models mentioned management in Turkey and recognizing students how Turkey included in this model.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Cognizing main ecological balance indicators of coastal and marine areas management.
2   To learn EU recommendations and national legislations regarding coastal and marine areas management.
3   To get familiar about coastal and marine areas management which is providing marine and coastal areas preservations and sustainable development.
4   Know how to obtain integrated a policy and resolution process, focusing on regional development, including all sectors relating to coastal areas.
5   Know how to make keeper and precautionary provisions about coastal and marine areas occupation and able to use negotiation decision making process.
6   Understanding to usage of cost benefit analysis to equilibrate resources and environmental balancing in coastal amanagements.
