Course Objective

The objective of course is deal with to interrogate the multidimensional urban effects of cemeteries and to evaluate the balance of conservation and use of cemetery sites as cemeteries for Muslims and foreigners on the network of global relations and their integrity within urban spaces and to contribute to public administrators for updating international and national information

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To recognize importance of cemetery administration.
2   Have knowledge related regulation about cemetery management
3   Interpreting and cognizing fundamental phases of cemetery administration process.
4   Compherend the Coaction between cities and cemetery areas.
5   To learn the strategical structuring of foreign and muslims cemeteries.
6   Enable to make the enviromental impact assessment of cemeteries.
7   Be informed about basic regulation in international level.

1 A General Overview of the course and Introduction Quality of life indicators and basic concepts of cemetery administration
2 Regulations on Cemeteries in the Legislation of Local Government and in Our Legislation
3 Regulations on Cemeteries in the Legislation of Local Government and in Our Legislation and strategic approaches
4 International population movements and position of cemeteries for foreigners within the law of cemeteries
5 Cemetery sites and administration strategies in various cities that increasingly receive domestic and foreign migrations such as Izmir and Antalya in practice
6 Urban relationship in Cemetery Administration and basic principles of balance of conservation and use
7 Mid-Term Exam
8 International Principles of Cemetery Administration examples from cities
9 International examples of Cemetery Administration and cemeteries and cities in international agreements
10 Cultural structurings and cemeteries, spatial analyses within the balance of conservation and use in urban and rural areas
11 Reflections of cemetery structurings on the present modern urban designs
12 Reconciliatory and conflicting approaches to use/right to utilize cemetery sites in public opinion
13 Presentation of Research Papers
