Course Objective

Although Integrated Border Management is a new concept, it is aimed to explain border term combining with free movement of people and goods, cross-border crime like refugees, asylum-seekers and refugees, people, goods and drug trafficking in the contex of international migration and additionally terrorism concepts. Also, it is aimed to evaluate integrated border management multifaceded within the framework of European Union, and reveal current situation of Turkey.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to introduce Integrated Border Management concept
2   Being able to understand and interpret Integrated Border Management in European Union level
3   Being able to examine stages and elements responsible for the Integrated Border Management development
4   Being able to identify the changing role of public administration on the Integrated Border Management
5   Being able to examine Integrated Border Management and assess applicability for Turkey
