Course Objective

Analyse and research the biographies and studies of modernist and socialist thinkers who were effective in Turkey in the last of 19th century and 20th century

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to know the modernist and socialist thinkers in Turkey.
2   Being able to comment political and social environment which impressed the modernist and socialist thinkers
3   Being able to analyse the authentic examples of modenist and socialist ideas.
4   Being able to inform about lifes of modernist and socialist thinkers who lived in Turkey.
5   Being able to forge a link between modernism or socialism with other political ideas in Turkey.
