Course Objective

The objective of this course is to make a multilevel and multidimensional evaluation about the current inequalities in a global society. With this course, in the light of current sociological researches about social inequalities, it is aimed that to be able to analyze the globalization dynamics of society on the one hand and on the other hand that to be able to evaluate the inequalities that is introduced by the globalization with a multilevel approach.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to study the globalization process with a sociological perspective.
2   Being able to evaluate the meaning and results of globalization in terms of social reality.
3   Being able to identify the risks and problems introduced through process of globalization.
4   Being able to analyze the social inequalities in terms of classical, contemporary and postmodern theoretical perspectives.
5   Being able to analyze the social inequalities and their persistentence.
