Course Objective

To inform students about the History of Arabic Language Grammar and about differences matters between grammatical schools.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Midterm and Final Exam:
In Mid-term and final exam, the students are asked questions in classical style about resources of Arabic language and literature and their salient features.

Homework:
The student prepares a composition about the resources of a particular period, or works on specific areas such as Arabic grammar, rhetoric, literature, or subject dealing with language schools, persons and books, and then presents this composition in printed output.

Assessment Criteria

The students will be assessed based on success in their mid-term, homework assignment and final exams along with their performance during the classes throughout the semester.
