Course Objective

Acquaintance of Turks with Islam, the role of Sufism in that and promoting the religious orders and sufis which are active in social life

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Student has knowledge about conversion of Turks to Islam
2   He learns the role of Sufism in the conversion of Turks to Islam
3   He knows mystical events and developments in Seljuk period
4   He recognizes mystical figures and events in the fonding years of the Ottoman Empire
5   He recognizes certain Sufi institutions, their representatives and centers in these periods
