Course Objective

This course will provide an introduction to economic theories of the behaviour of organizations and business firms. The course gives an overview of the roles of individuals and groups in organizations, organization structures and boundaries.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to define the importance of learning the role of individuals and groups in organizations.
2   Show understanding of the basic terminology regarding organizational economics.
3   Demonstrate understanding of the firm boundaries.
4   Demonstrate knowledge on decision making in organizations.
5   Be able to identify organizational structures and processes.
