Course Objective

To learn the poisoning risk assessment, toxicology laboratory evaluations and biomarkers, antidotes and principle of use and common poisonings and to make a discussion systematically.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To define and discuss the occupational toxins and risk assessment
2   To define the common medicine poisonings
3   To define of heavy metal, hydrocarbon and inseciticide poisonings
4   To comprehending the principles of common poisoning treatments
5   To make a decision for common poisoning follow-up
6   To discuss the antidotes and principles of use.

5 Calcium channel blocker poisonings

7 Antiarrythmic medicine (lidocaine, propafenone, kinidin) poisonings
8 Iron contained medicine poisonings
9 Rodenticide, herbicide and fungicide poisonings
10 Hydrocarbon poisonings
11 Food poisonings
12 Hypoglycemic agent poisonings
13 Heavy metal poisonings
14 Lithium poisonings
15 Final exam
