Course Objective

In this lesson students will have psychoanalytic, constructivist and semiotical reading method in addition which they gain in the course of "Photo Interpretation and Criticism I" Presentations of criticism will be given about sample photographers and photographs. Students will be written critics in the framework of photo criticism methods about their own photographs.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1-Will have ability to Read and criticise photographs by using psychoanalytic reading method
2   2- Will be able to use structural reading methods comparatively
3   3. Will be able to translate literary texts written in semiotics
4   4. Will have Information about relevant persons and institutions in photography related matters; will be able to convey the suggestions of solutions to problems and ideas in written and verbally
5   5- will be able to evaluate artistic and photography activities

Assessment Criteria

-A midterm exam will be done for the course (20%), at least one in-class evaluation (20).
-A final exam will be given (60)
- The students are responsible for the exhibitions and artistic events that were held in the city.
-The weight of the presentation by the students and the passing of the criticism letter is 20%.
