Course Objective

It aims to provide skill to be able to design in line with the design criteria of
product design for fashion accessories, and to have knowledge about the procedure steps
from the traditional production to the technological production about the realization
of production within the scope of the mass production of the design product.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Leather craft, shoes, jewellery and other accessory products included within the product design of fashion accessories
2   Having knowledge about the design process within the scope of the industrial design criteria
3   Examining and making technical comments during the analysis about the industrial development processes
4   Interrogating the relation between design and production
5   Reaching information about the period by comparing the fashion accessories produced in different periods

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

1. The course is conducted with 2 projects (design + application) for one period.
2. The projects are arranged to develop the knowledge and skills of students on the subjects of design.
3. The process, schedule, application principles are located in the project explanation.
4. The project process is carried out as research, design and application.
5. The student presents the requirements within the scope of project at the end of each project. He/she conveys the project process verbally.

The student is obliged to perform the project in line with the design principles and in accordance with the objective, process and schedule of the project. The student who successfully completes the project by having also attended to the course gets passing mark.
