Course Objective

The primary objective of the course is to enable students to develop a sophisticated understanding of critical theoretical propositions about international relations. Second, they will be able to relate international relations theory to real world problems and policy solutions. Third, they will be able to communicate these issues in seminars and in writing.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Develop a sophisticated understanding of some of the critical theoretical approaches to the study of international relations
2   Be able to identify and analyze both historical and contemporary issues from diverse theoretical perspectives
3   Be able to critically evaluate theories in international relations and develop publishable original studies.
4   Convey their ideas and thoughts effectively in group discussions.
