Course Objective

Learning the application techniques in the AVID industry on Autocad project files, having experience in production supported with studies and application projects; to have scientific and practical equipment that can be overcome with all kinds of technological equipment applications and problems used in buildings; preparation of acoustic and electro-acoustic reports for the building with building acoustics and electro-acoustic calculations and surveys, conference hall, private classrooms etc. Providing sound transition controls and electro acoustic supports for spaces, acoustic construction materials are designed in accordance with the regulations and electro acoustic compatibility.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Electro-acoustics and building acoustics within the scope of technological systems and acoustic building materials to provide full control, building structural elements of sound transition designs and engineering calculations on the technical details to remember, to consolidate with studies
2   To provide full control of the applications of the latest system products related to the properties of universal and current equipments and sound transition properties of the building elements
3   Providing full control over universal certifications and procedures and TS EN ISO standards on sound transmission properties of building components
4   To be able to determine the acoustical comfort of a building in accordance with the related regulations within the framework of related regulations
5   To be able to provide all the technical and technological equipment acquired for the benefit of the society with its consumable and recoverable characteristics.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Software knowledge and industrial softwares (Autocad, SketchUp, SonArchitect, Insul, CYPE BIM, EASE) Software, architectural project preparation, BIM-based software to use, model preparation, vibration and transition properties of building materials to work, to create electro-acoustic systems are software and will be used in practice.
2 Electronic stage demonstration equipment and industrial uses
3 Electro-acoustic and sound reinforcement, tele-conferencing, translation systems, Image and AVID techniques, camera control and applications
4 Audio and AC signals transfer techniques, electronic power and signal calculations, engineering studies, sample project analysis, block diagrams and single line block diagrams
5 (Continues) Realization of electro-acoustic systems and calculations on an architectural projects This project will be evaluated as the 1st project assignment of the students.
6 Basic principles for the control of sound and vibration transmission between spaces in buildings: Airborne & structure born noise controls Musc classrooms, critical rooms such as patient rooms, interiors of rooms and control of building noise controls, etc. will be focused on.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Audio systems, video and stage lighting technologies, teleconference, simultaneous interpretation systems, cinema and concert hall sound systems, school interactive learning systems etc. will be analyzed by real final architectural projects.
