Course Objective

The aim of this course is to conceive Kant s system of thought by understanding the fundamentals of Enlightenment thinking. Also conceiving Kant s practical philosophy and discussing about the epistemological, political, ethical and aesthetical dimensions of the break in the history of philosophy by Kant s thinking are the aims of this course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Conceiving the fundamental properties of enlightenment thinking
2   Having knowledge about the conception of critical reason
3   Conceiving the epistemological grounds of Kant s practical philosophy
4   Conceiving Kant s ethical understanding, discussing fundamental problems of his ethics with respect to his opinions
5   Conceiving fundamental arguments of Kant s political philosophy, discussing the relations between politics and ethics considering Kant s opinions
6   Conceiving Kant s conception of aesthetics with regards to conception of inter-subjectivity, discussing political philosophy and ethics with regards to this concept
