Course Objective

The exploration of the problems of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel s theoretical and practical philosophy by relying on original texts and an analysis of the problems of the history of the reception of Hegel s philosophy.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows Hegel s relationship to other members of classical German philosophy.
2   Knows the overall structure of Hegel s theoretical philosophy and understands his major concepts.
3   Understands the structure of Hegel s practical philosophy and his major concepts.
4   Presents the problems of the history of the reception of Hegel s philosophy.
5   Knows the history of the reception of Hegel s philosophy in Turkey and shows its significance for contemporary problems.
