Course Objective

The objective of this course is to elucidate the fundamental problems of hermeneutics such as understanding, interpretation, explanation and etc. by analyzing the selected papers of Dilthey, Gadamer, Habermas, Ricoeur.

1   Able to comprehend the theoretical system of hemeneutic tradition.
2   Able to discuss the solutions of the problems of hermeneutic tradition.
3   Able to grasp the philosophical problems in hermeneutic tradition.
4   Able to relate hermeneutics with philosophy.
5   Able to analyze the historical evolution of hemeneutic tradition.
