Course Objective

The course objectives are to present the difference between modernism and modern understanding of art, and to introduce theories of art essential to modernism by reading currents in modernist philosophy, and to focus on the time of the emergence of postmodernism in the realm of art, and to investigate the critiques directed towards postmodernism.

LO 4-5 will be evaluated by the assignment of the student and by the questions that will be asked in midterm and final exam.
