Course Objective

These course aims to give students information about Greek religion and to introduce
cult activities in ancient times carried out in the sanctuaries.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1-To tell the properties of mysteries and the gods/goddess related mystical cults
2   2-To define the concept of prophecy and important oracle centers in the ancient times
3   3-To determine the worship ritual in ancient Greece
4   4-To explain the religious rules and prohibitions in ancient time
5   5-To be able to describe important sanctuaries in western Anatolia
