Course Objective

Aims to teach about the emergence, development and characteristics of Late Antique archaeology in whole Anatolia and the Mediterranean.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, student will gain following competences: Evaluating the idea about the principal working areas of the archaeological sciences,
2   Describing Late Antique archaeology which are fundamental for general Classical Archaeology,
3   Defining the ancient geography of Anatolia,
4   Identification of Anatolian classical and Medieval archaeologies,
5   Identification of Anatolian classical and Medieval archaeologies,
