Course Objective

In this course, the art environment of the Republic will be discussed in the context of social, political and cultural changes and developments, and the effect of cultural policies on the formation of museums and collections will be emphasized.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1	Discuss the importance of state-art relation in shaping museums and collections
2	To evaluate the contributions and effects of private museums and collections to the existing art environment
3	Evaluating formation and development process of painting-sculpture museums, art galleries and exhibitions
4	Have knowledge about the establishment of the first art museums and collections
5	Have knowledge about the culture and arts activities during the period of the Republic.
