Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine the practices, representations, expressions, knowledge, skills as well as the instruments, objects, artifacts and cultural spaces associated therewith that communities, groups and, in some cases, individuals recognize as part of their cultural heritage.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Identify the concept of intangible cultural heritage.
2   Explain and define the difference between cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage
3   Evaluate the relation between intangible cultural heritage and daily life
4   Explain and define the interaction of social structure and intangible cultural heritage
5   Evaluate the importance of intangible cultural heritage as a component of culture
