Course Objective

Main aim of this course is to give a perspective to studies on Turkish-Byzantine relations and to teach methods on historical, social, cultural and religious sides of these relations

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   know literature on Turkish-Byzantine relations
2   define development of T-B. relations through the ages
3   learn main concepts on T.-B. relations
4   interpret social, economic and historical development of T.-B. relations
5   evaluate place and role of political, cultural and religious interactions in T.-B. relations
