Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to develop the ability to read and understand the source of the English language will allow students in the field of aviation. Written in English on the air transport sector, several articles and books examining the key issues in the sector are discussed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to use English effectively, to follow current events about civil aviation in media, to increase vocabulary related to aviation profession, to read and understand written articles about civil aviation

1 Introduction to Air Communication: Steady state, radio communication, non-routine situations
2 Pre-Flight: Pre-flight check-in, local situations, delays and problems.
3 Ground Movements: Airport signs and air side vehicles, taxi and hold cases and meteorological conditions.

5 Departure, Climbing and Navigation: Departure, traffic, warnings and hazards.

9 Communication and Approach: Lowering, circuit joining, approach and landing problems.
