Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to analyse EUs approach on fight against discriminiation, as the most advanced movement of supranational economic and political integration movement. With this aim, EUs gender equality policies and their implementations will be assessed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To recognise the theoretical background of the concepts of fight against discrimination, equality and gender equality
2   To recognise the concepts of fight against discrimination, equality and gender equality , with particular regard to their place and importance in EUs policies
3   To recognize the legal and institutional regulations on gender equality, as well as their implementations
4   To have sufficient knowledge on discussions, problems and their possible solutions in field of fight against discrimination and gender equality
5   To recognize the relevance of EUs fight against discrimination and gender equality policies for Turkey
