Course Objective

This course aims to look into the relationship between translation and communication-oral and written- by analyzing the audio-visual messages in different media forms.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student analyzes the relation between translation and communication
2   He learns about different forms of transfer such as dubbing, sub-titling and narration
3   He acquires the ability to analyze audio-visual messages
4   He analyzes the role and responsibility of the translator as a mediator
5   He explores the roles of the translator as an editor, reporter and publisher.
