Course Objective

To teach basic theorical and practical procedures and methods in evaluating oral, written and material culture.

1   Define the scope of folkloristics, its subject-matter, methodology and basic concepts
2   Comprehend the brief historical development of folkloristics and folklore theories
3   Analyse folklore theories
4   Define field research methods, and apply on problem
