Course Objective

Objective of this cource is to get students to comprehend the social and cultural dynamics of rising of epics in the worldwide Turkish community and to teach to students the trials on classifications of epic genre from past to now. Finally, students will learn that epic and epic traditions of performance and performing context.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the cource, students will learn information about that epic tradition, the rising of epic tradition, classification of epics, structional and functutional characaracteristics of epics.
2   Additionally, they will be familliar with academic literature on epic traditions.
3   Get information aboul culture of community
