Course Objective

The location of Turkish language among world languages in the position of the unity of the Ural-Altaic language, the absence of written texts and oral language products in the remaining ages, show the status of resources in relation to the nations. Used in the Turkish dialect and phonetic classifications, formed to examine the criteria and Vocabulary. The period of the Old Turkish Turkish language written products, works, language areas, to teach spoken state structures.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will know the place of Turkish Language among world languages and have information about Ural Altaic unity.
2   Have information about historic period of Turkish Language and Pre-Turkish period.
3   Have information about period of Proto-Turkish and general feature of Old Turkish, alphabets used in, religions.
4   Have information about history of Kok Turk and texts of Kok Turk, presence of Kok Turk texts, research works.
5   Have information about Tuna Bulgarian and Idyl-Bulgarian Turkish.
6   Have information about history of Uighur Turks and Uighur texts.
7   Have information about presence of Uighur Turkish texts and research works.
8   Have information about language properties of Old Turkish period.
