General Description
History |
Department of Turkish Language and Literature was founded in 2011 and started education with Undergraduate Program in 2014 2015 academic years. Our department offers Graduate Studies in Turkish Language and Literature and in the program s language is Turkish. In the beginning of the every semester, students are given a reading list which covers the themes of the semester. The students can procure those books from our library. Our department has not given Ph. Degrees yet. It has planned to give Ph. Degrees for students next year. |

In Turkish Higher Education institutions, the recognition of previous formal education and literal and vertical transfers and transfers within the university are carried out within the scope of the assessment criteria determined by the Senate of our University and the REGULATION ON THE PRINCIPLES CONCERNING TRANSFER DOUBLE MAJOR, MINOR AND CREDİT TRANSFER BETWEEN INSTITUTIONS AT UPPER SECONDARY EDUCATION AND UNDERGRATUE LEVEL

Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
4 years, 2 semesters per year, 16 weeks per semester, 240 ECTS in total. In order for students to complete their education succesfully in our faculty, their GPA ( Grade Point Average ) should be at least 2.00. Final year students who are not able to get a GPA of 2.00 are entitled to take a one course examination in order to increase the GPA if they are able to fulfil the condition of a GPA of 2.00 from the courses included in the program of the last four semesters. Those who are not able to get a GPA of 2.00 through one course examination are entitled to take a midterm exam, final exam or make up exam from the courses of the last four semesters. The students benefit from this right of examination in the exam period during the semester in which the courses are opened. The students who would like to benefit from this right of examination declare the exams that they will take at the beginning of the semesters during registration.

The objective of the Undergraduate Program of the department of Turkish Language and Literature is to raise turkologs who are equipped with the sciencific knowledge, skill and competence that may serve in any field on which Turkish Language and Literature can be applied; who can interpret the effects of the changes in the period of the Turkish Language and Literature and who are objective, crious and scientific.

The assessment methods used for each course are defined in the Course Syllabus Form prepared by the Instructor of the course and included in the Information Package. |
Graduation Requirements |
The degree is awarded to students who have succesfully completed all the courses in the curriculum and have a minimum Cumulative Grade point Average ( CGPA ) of 2.00 / 4.00 and 240 ECTS. |
