Course Objective

The applications of weaving workshop and its effects on textile art will be examined in Bauhaıus school which shapes today's textile design and art. The understanding of Bauhaus education and design philosophy will lead students to artistic expression and their applications in textiles. For this purpose, important artists and application works that give art and design education in Bauhaus and textile art activities that will be developed afterwards will be explained.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Students are given information about the fundamentals of Bauhaus design concept. With the examples, the design transformation is explained in the textile where the historical development process is explained. Bauhaus is studied in the educational model and practices of leading designers and artists, who give significant works to the designers and the works they use. In this context, the studies of important instructors of Bauhaus are examined and their contribution to the development of today's design concept is examined. In the light of these studies, the student is asked to bring design proposals. After discussing the proposals, the final designs are expected to be determined by determining the production materials and techniques.

Assessment Criteria

Implementation of the work that meets the expectations.
In addition to the methodology, assignments and presentations are questioned both in terms of the work they need to transfer and their ability to express themselves.

70% of the course is mandatory.
All kinds of plagiarism attempts result in actual disciplinary action.
The student is responsible for all the criteria of the course.
