Course Objective

Indigo denim cotton warp yarns dyed woven fabric of yarns produced from cotton yarn. In the historical process due to the durability of the denim fabric, the outfit was used as the first worker.Nowadays, denim, textile production and have a great Sunday World share in terms of design, denim has brought the importance of design.Of course the development of the denim fabrics, denim fabrics production phases, methods, and production processes and finishing processes will be discussed. Bleaching, vintaged,destroyed etc. denim washing finishing techniques and CAD - CAM systems that works on laser technology application studies will be conducted. Vector also prepared with the processes of design and production laser applications on denim aims to examine the experimental patterns

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The stages of denim production methods and finishing processes and have knowledge about production processes.
2   Denim fabrics with innovative finishing processes to make experimental applications.
3   Using a combination of different textile techniques, applicability, functionality, design and develop products in accordance with the criteria.
4   Denim fabrics with CAD-CAM systems and laser technology using innovative, original approach to develop textile products for the aesthetic.
5   Bleaching, vintaged, destroyed, etc. denim washing finishing techniques and be knowledgeable about the application to make it work
6   Prepared with denim applications on vector design and production patterns to be able to do the laser work.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The development of the denim fabrics production phases, methods, and finishing processes and production processes is guaranteed to be informed regarding the student with the basic technical implementation of the investigation.Denim textile sector provided by the students in collaboration with technological applications in this area is provided .Also, especially CAD - CAM systems using laser technology with denim fabric on the experimental application is directed.However, the domestic and foreign literature, student research, to prepare written and to visually present asks. Students, home textiles or fashion design trends and techniques and in accordance with the identified themes is supposed to do. Also, the student's application is directed at solving issues that will arise for areas.
Review sessions and class discussions
Stage create design sketches to be done related to the selection of the time given to the design of the application, on the basis of the review sessions by the instructor each week of class the first and last hours. Problems to be solved in this session will form the basis of sketching and presentation files.Students ' participation in class discussions, designs will be encouraged to present their views regarding a significant extent .
