Course Objective

After the historical plays, the importance of the documentry and the semi-documentary plays in our theater, the position of the judical - law court plays in documentary plays, stage plays adaptations of the novels, plays with an ironic or parodic approach to history, plays dealing with relativistic state of history and presentations about all those texts stated.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The importance of being historical, documentary, relativistic and the importance of the relation between society and the leader in the field of dramatic writing of performing arts.
2   Acquisition of cultural and artistic knowledge in the field
3   Interpretation and evaluation of dealing styles of the authors
4   Documentary and semi-documentary, political historical data analysis, , and the reflection of these data over writers like Brecht and Peter Weiss

4 The importance of being historical and documentary in epic theater, the concept of historicising in Brecht
