Course Objective

The main purpose of this course is to help students develop their communication skills, providing them with both theoretical and practical knowledge. With this purpose, the course will focus on foreign-trade related aspects of communication, including negotiation techniques, intercultural communication, and conflict resolution.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   demonstrate sufficient knowledge on the basic concepts of communication.
2   show clearly that (s)he has internalised the basic negotiation techniques and practices.
3   demonstrate their knowledge on intercultural communication.
4   show their skills on how to handle conflicts in field of foreign trade, referring to the theoretical information provided to them on the issue throughout the course

Assessment Criteria

The learner will fully participate in in-class activities.
2. The learner will clearly describe the theoretical basics of communication.
3. The learner will demonstrate sufficient knowledge on the effective presentation techniques.
4. The learner will present the analysis of selected foreign-trade related conflict cases, along with resolution alternatives.
5. The learner will present their knowledge and skills on intercultural communication.

2. Attending at least 70 percent of lectures is mandatory.
