Course Objective

This course is aimed that the student will be known the literatures about various cultural spaces like photography archives, city archives, private / institutional collections, art galleries and museums. Also the student will be evaluated with the project examples and study visits to cultural places. Then it will be possible to adapt the cultural spaces issue in their art projects.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. to describe the context of cultural spaces
2   2. to comprehend the content and process of photography archives and city archives
3   3. to produce a project about art galleries and museums
4   4. to have information about structure, content and process of museums in Izmir
5   5. to evaluate the concept of collection and archive in their individual projects.
