Course Objective

The aim of the course is to discuss and elaborate on the dynamics of European political integration from the past to the recent era in theory and practice.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To evaluate the developments and shifts in the dynamics of European political integration in the post-Lisbon era
2   To analyze European political integration within the context of supranational and intergovernmentalist paradigms
3   To compare the rationalist and constructivist approaches to European political integration
4   To analyze European political integration within different theoretical perspectives
5   To anayze the role of public opinion in European political integration
6   To discuss the future of European political integration considering different integration models
