Course Objective

The course focuses on current issues in urban sociology. Some of these issues include: urban differentiation and segregation, urban renewal, class, religion, ethnicity, women and space relations. The main objective of the course of the urbanization process and the dynamics of this process creates economic, social, cultural and political dimensions is analyzed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to use the terminology of urban sociology
2   To explain the basic theoretical approaches used in urban sociology.
3   To explain the stages of urban development from past to present.
4   To analyzes social dynamics that arise in the process of urbanization.
5   To analyzes social processes and relationships that arise in today's urbans
