Course Objective

The objective of this course is to examine the prohibition of discrimination on grounds of sex for input and advancing public office in the context of the principles of merit and equity and to show the link between statistical data on advancement of women and promotion of public duty and democracy, equality, the rule of law concepts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To explain the concept of a public servant
2   To establish the connection between of entry and advancement in public office and principles of merit and equity
3   To examine the principle of equality in the light of the Constitution and judicial decisions.
4   To evaluate the prohibition of discrimination on grounds of sex in terms of entry and advancement in public office.
5   To evaluate the rights of women which due to being woman in public service.
6   To make a comparative assessment on national and international statistics in terms of service areas.

6 Evaluation of the prohibition of discrimination on grounds of sex in terms of entry and advancement in public office.

8 View of the application of principle of equality of men and women for entry and advancement in public office.
